Subscriptions, Payments and Refunds
On this page
These terms apply when a business buys a paid EliteCinq plan. They form part of the Terms of Service. Until you buy a plan, you are not charged anything.
Key points
- A plan belongs to a Workspace and is bought on the EliteCinq website.
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Every payment is final. We do not give refunds or credits, except where the law requires it.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a plan ends, your Workspace becomes read-only and you can still export your records.
1. Plans and prices
Each plan’s price, billing period (for example monthly or yearly), what it includes and any limits, such as the number of members, are shown before you buy. A plan is bought for one Workspace by its Owner, or by someone the Owner allows, and covers the members of that Workspace within the plan’s limits.
2. Automatic renewal
Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the payment method on file the price then in effect, until you cancel. We send a receipt for every payment. For yearly plans, we remind you before each renewal.
3. No refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable. By buying a plan, you agree that we do not give refunds or credits for:
- any part of a billing period, including when you cancel early;
- seats, members or features you do not use;
- downgrading to a smaller plan;
- closing a Workspace, deleting your Account, or no longer using the Service;
- suspension or termination for a breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Exceptions
- The law. Nothing in these terms removes a refund or cancellation right that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement. Plans are sold to businesses, which usually have no such right, but where one applies, we follow it.
- Our mistakes. If we charge you twice for the same period, or charge an amount you did not agree to, we correct it.
- App stores. If you buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store processes the payment and its own refund rules apply.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Settings, online, without contacting us. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not refunded.
6. Free trials
If we offer a free trial, we show its length before it starts. We do not charge you during a trial. If a trial needs a payment method, we tell you before it ends that a paid plan will start, and you can cancel before then without being charged.
7. Changing plans
- Upgrades and added seats take effect straight away. We charge the price difference for the rest of the current period, as shown before you confirm.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. The current period is not refunded.
8. Price changes
We may change our prices. We tell you before a new price applies to your plan, at least 30 days before your next renewal, so you can cancel if you do not want to continue at the new price.
9. Failed payments
If a payment fails, we try again over a short period and tell you so you can update your payment method. If payment still fails, the Workspace becomes read-only until the plan is paid.
10. When a plan ends
When a plan ends because it was cancelled or not paid, the Workspace becomes read-only: members can still sign in, view and export records, but cannot add or change them. Records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy. Starting a plan again restores full use.
11. Taxes
Prices exclude taxes unless shown otherwise. You are responsible for taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income. Where the law requires us to collect a tax, we add it to the price before you pay.
12. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first so we can look into it. If you dispute a valid charge with your bank or card issuer, we may suspend the Workspace while the dispute is open, and we may provide the issuer with the record of your purchase, including the terms you accepted and when.
